The Gears for the road

Unlike riding a car or any cage protected four wheeler, riding on motorcycles is like being on a battle field. You need to look at potential hazards ahead of time in all directions. Some riders lose the battle when they hit a car in front of them or get hit from behind. The bad news is they are always caught unaware and ill prepared, some usually end up at the hospital and others are not so lucky.

Often times I would see squids on the road. I'm talking about motorcyclists who wear tennis shoes or flip flops, shorts, T-shirts on their nice shiny new bikes. They ride without all proper gear, rides recklessly and beyond their limits. I just shake my head when they pass me by they probably think the streets is like a race track but pretty soon the road will give them a lesson in riding safely. I was like them during my freshman years in motorcycle riding but after being thought of the lessons and consequences of not riding defensively, I am now very careful to the point of paranoia sometimes.

Eventually you will be hit whether you like it or not during those “unlucky times” that you will have as you journey on the road with two wheels. Heck some would even drop their bikes at the parking area and injure themselves at the same time.  A severe injury maybe prevented to some degree if you wear proper riding gear when on a motorcycle. Ignorant people will also comment “here comes the power ranger” or ask you “where is the war?” ignore them as your safety comes first. If your new to motorcycles then I suggest you get some proper gear for your own safety, nevermind the squids on the road. The first thing a true rider should buy is not his motorcycle but his gears for the road. The bike in my opinion must be second priority as your life is more important than any motorcycle on this earth.
Here are some riding gears that one should have if you consider riding on a motorcycle:
